In 2024, The Newark Partnership received tremendous support for the local nonprofit community through The Community Catalytic Grant from the Laffey-McHugh Foundation. The purpose of the $10,000 grant is to support local nonprofits and aid in their community growth efforts through direct small-dollar funding with little restrictions and no reporting required.

“The amazing support from Laffey-McHugh’s Community Catalytic Grant perfectly aligns with TNP’s mission to infuse our local nonprofits with funding they can not only use, but use today,” TNP Executive Director Mark Arehart said.

Through TNP’s Nonprofit Enhancement Committee, this grant will support local Newark nonprofits in many aspects, including general operations, programming, marketing, development, outreach support, and more.

Accredited nonprofit organizations serving the Newark community can easily apply for $500.00 in sponsorship by clicking the link below. The Nonprofit Enhancement Committee reviews applications on a rolling basis. Nonprofits can qualify for this sponsorship twice per fiscal year, July 1 – June 30.

The Laffey-McHugh Foundation is a private foundation that provides funding to nonprofits intent on aiding and supporting under-served communities in the state of Delaware. It was established by Alice Laffey McHugh in Delaware in 1959.
