
Spring Community / Christina River Watershed Clean Up & Earth Day Volunteer Day
Join Newark Parks & Recreation for the Spring Community Clean Up & Earth Day Volunteer Day, held in conjunction with the Christina River Watershed Clean Up. This event will include cleaning up specific areas along the Christina River watershed and trimming and planting trees and shrubs to protect the streams.
Grab your family, friends, neighbors and coworkers and come make Newark beautiful. Gloves and trash bags are provided.
Single volunteers, groups, and families are encouraged to participate.Children ages 5 and up are welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times. Volunteers ages 14 and over may volunteer independently.
Individuals and volunteer groups (of 15 or less) will be assigned a clean up location after registration, and can report directly to that location the day of the event. One member of the group will be responsible for picking up the group’s supplies at the Municipal Building before heading to the clean up location.
