Voting Ambassador Volunteer Opportunity
Voting is one of the ways to make sure your voice is heard in our government. Yet young adults (18-29) are the least engaged of all demographic groups. Only 22% of young adults vote, and 40% are NOT EVEN REGISTERED. With your help, we’re hoping to change that.
The League of Women Voters of Delaware (LWVDE) is a nonpartisan group (we don’t take sides!) that encourages informed and active participation in government. VOTE411 is our resource to help voters get election information they need, including information on how to register, when/where elections are, and information on the candidates for your district. You can learn more about us at:
What are we asking you to do?
Fun fact: 92% of consumers believe suggestions from friends and family more than advertising. That’s for making purchases but don’t underestimate the influence we have on our friends and family to change their behaviors as well! We’re asking you to do 1 of 2 things:
1. Share Your Ideas in a Focus Group
How can we encourage your friends and peers to vote? Join us for a 30-40 minute Zoom call to brainstorm.
2. Post on TikTok
Create and post 3-5 TikTok videos about voting, registering to vote, and/or where to get election information. Your style, voice, and account.
What’s in it for you?
Working with us on this project means you’ll be getting your voice and your friend’s voices heard. But we also value your time. LWVDE is a nonprofit organization and all time spent attending meetings or creating videos for this campaign can be used as volunteer hours. We’re also planning some fun giveaways!
Join the focus group for more info or email organizer Jenn Wells at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
